Don’t obsess over counting calories
It’s too hard to maintain! You will have a far better chance of sticking to “clean eating” if you keep it as simple as possible. If it’s too hard & time consuming you won’t want to do it.
Everybody is different and what works for one person might not be ideal for another. Learn what works for you and maintain it! Consistency is key!
For me it’s about maintaining a lean, fit, healthy body & mind throughout the whole year & having the energy to do all the things I love in life. I am still able to eat out with my friends! If I want chocolate I have it but in moderation!
I like to allow myself one cheat meal a week if I feel like it – I must stress; this is not a whole day dedicated to eating unhealthy food, it’s just one meal or a dessert. In saying that, if you don’t feel you need a cheat meal then don’t have it! If you have been consistent with your diet and work-outs all week would you really want to give your body food that is not good for you and risk reversing your results?
If you have a bad day by eating something unhealthy, or miss a work-out, it’s not the end of the world. Just because you made one slip up doesn’t mean you have to give up completely – When you fall pick yourself up and keep going.
The good thing about eating clean consistently is you actually stop craving sugary, bad food and start craving healthy food that your body needs. After committing to this way of eating for a couple of weeks or so, you will notice the “healthy food” you thought didn’t taste so good seems to have more flavour now.

Trust me, now is the time to start putting yourself and your health first. Why, you might ask – because when you […]
