Growing up in Newcastle I was raised on the beaches doing surf lifesaving and sprinting. I found myself very involved in team sports such as rugby league and tough rugby.
I moved to Western Australia in 2012 where found myself working FIFO. Unfortunately team sports were off the table as I was unable to commit to weekly training and games.
In 2015 I found powerlifting which offered me the best combination of competitive sports, flexibility and family-like support. In the past 2 years I have been going above and beyond to build myself as an athlete. And now as I welcome my first child to the world, I ultimately hope to be a role model by pushing myself to be the best version of myself I can be.
Other than building myself as a powerlifter, I have continued to push myself, try new things and meet new people. I'm ready and willing to take on any opportunity life will throw at me.
